How to check eSIM device compatibility

A model can support eSIM in one market and omit it in another, so check the exact device in your hands.

Check for eSIM support

On iPhone, look under Settings → Cellular or Mobile Service for “Add eSIM.” On many Android devices, look under Settings → Network & internet, Connections, SIM manager, or Mobile network for “Add eSIM” or “Download a SIM.” Menu names vary by manufacturer and software version.

Check carrier lock

A device can have eSIM hardware but still be locked to the original carrier. On iPhone, Settings → General → About may show Carrier Lock. For Android, confirm with the carrier or test another eligible SIM. Simpriest cannot unlock a device.

Regional and network differences

Some phones sold in particular countries disable eSIM, and some watches/tablets require carrier-specific activation rather than travel eSIM QR codes. Confirm the exact model number, supported bands, and whether the package permits the device category.

Before payment

Update the operating system, keep enough battery and Wi-Fi for installation, and do not delete an installed eSIM unless support instructs you. Many provider QR codes are single-install.

Next step

Review the destination, allowance, validity, coverage, and server-confirmed price before paying. Provider provisioning begins only after Stripe confirms payment.
